During the "People, not Numbers" project, together with a representative of the Rabbinical Commission for Cemeteries, four mass graves were located at the Jewish cemetery in Czarny Dunajec using georadar. The bodies of victims of mass executions of Jewish residents of Czarny Dunajec in July and August 1942 and prisoners from the Hobag labor camp who were shot in two executions in November and December 1943 are buried there.
Mass graves are located in the eastern part of the cemetery, which was not used to bury the dead until World War II. Apart from them, there is at least one unmarked grave in the cemetery, in which rest the bodies of Józef Lehrer and his daughter Regina, shot dead in the Gestapo building on May 20, 1942.
